FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Kane Black
Kane Black is the founder and principal of Severn Capital. Based in Singapore, he has spent more than 20 years in Asia and is a Singapore Permanent Resident.
His experience spans public markets, medical technology, diagnostics, healthcare services, technology and cross-border investment, with a particular focus on the intersection of Asia and London capital markets.
He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of London Stock Exchange listed Ikigai Ventures Limited, where he led the company's transaction strategy through to the admission of Dotlines Global to AIM at a market capitalisation of c. £57.9 million, creating a UK and Southeast Asia focused technology platform.
Kane previously served as Chief Executive Officer of INEX Innovate, a Singapore-based medtech and diagnostics company formed through a US$72 million merger backed by institutional investors including Genting Berhad and Enterprise Singapore.
He has advised, and been appointed as Strategic Adviser to, London-listed acquisition companies, and remains active in healthcare, laboratory services, technology and selected public-market transactions.
He was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year Singapore in the Biotechnology category and is a member of the NUS Medicine International Council.
